Aluminium

There are several different types of aluminium in which we pay and recycle for all such as aluminium cans, cast aluminium, extruded aluminium, sheet aluminium, aluminium wheels, general aluminium. We offer a quick and easy service and pay by the weight.

Batteries Lead and Acid

We recycle all lead acid batteries, sealed lead batteries, industrial batteries, steel case and solar batteries which are all paid by the kilogram.

Brass

Brass is more malleable than steel or iron as it’s easier to bend, shape or mold than most metals. This makes is ideal for fields such as plumbing. Brass is a high grade scrap metal and prices are usually higher than other metals.

Catalytic Converters

A catalytic converter is in the exhaust system of cars which converts the pollutant gasses into less harmful emissions. Different catalytic converters are worth different amounts and are paid per unit not by the kilogram.

Copper

Like aluminum there are many different grades of copper and generally fall under 4 grades which consist of Burnt Copper, Domestic COpper, Bare Copper and Bright & Shiny. Each different grade has a different price. Sometimes it can be difficult to know what type you have so please contact us or bring it an and we can look at it and grade it with you.

Electric Motors

Electric motors are made up of different materials with components such as steel and copper winding making them a valuable scrap metal.

Insulated Cables

Insulated cable prices depend on the quantity of copper/as to plastic. The more copper the higher the price. Call us or send us pictures for us to price your cable.

Lead

The most common lead recycled is sheet or ingott however comes in other forms.

Radiators

There are different types of radiators which are recycled however the most common are:

• copper/brass radiators
• aly radiators
• aluminium/copper radiaters (out of air-conditioning units)

Stainless Steel

There is generally 3 grades of stainless steel.

• G4 which is magnetic and is the lowest grade
• 304 is a medium grade however the most common
• 316 is the highest grade

Steel

Steel comes in heavy or light grades and the difference is the thickness of the steel. Most white goods have light steel in them like washing machines etc.

Wheels

All wheels can be sold to us with or without the rubber on then, of course they are worth more without the rubber.
